When I change a language in a certain wiki, I need to refresh the page before the language is actually changed. Reproduce: 1) go to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges 2) then change your language by using ULS or going to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges?setlang=fi 3) click the "tuoreet muutokset" (=recent changes) link in the sidebar and then you again have the language that you used before Finnish language. It works if you refresh the page after changing your language. This should come into effect without refreshing the page after the ?setlang
Thanks for taking the time to report this! I could reproduce this with FF32. Wondering if ULS isn't setting something here, or browser cache interferences somehow, or something else server-side. Weird. ULS even displays "Language changed from English" up there, so maybe intentional (but don't really understand why).
Special:RecentChanges has caching with If-Modified-Since or similar. That doesn't take into account the language change and it returns a cached version.
