Environment- Test2, beta

1> Go to Media Search dialog, it opens with the input box populated with the user name in it.
2> I get JS console error Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function   , while the media search is still in progress .

This is a problem with the API in general, and while it is throwing an error, it shouldn't actually affect anything in the system -- that is, this error is stating that the API is unhappy about uselang variable, but the system is still working through the responses properly.

This was fixed in MediaWiki core as of wmf4 (to be released tomorrow to MediaWiki.org).

James is talking about a different thing that was fixed in wmf4.

This bug is caused by an issue in jQuery with canceling JSONP requests. It can only be fixed if jQuery fixes it upstream, and I don't think that will happen.

Closing as WONTFIX for lack of a RESOLVED UPSTREAM status.
