The Apple Touch icon for Wikidata is wrong. It is showing the Wikipedia logo instead of the Wikidata logo. Supposedly $wgAppleTouchIcon needs to be changed.
Apple Touch icons play a much bigger role in iOS 8 (showing up in suggestions etc.), so I think this should be fixed ASAP. Shouldn't be hard?
it's only a configuration change, though we also need an appropriate image, (e.g. https://bits.wikimedia.org/apple-touch/wikipedia.png) with correct dimensions https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/appleapplications/reference/safariwebcontent/configuringwebapplications/configuringwebapplications.html
https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/userexperience/conceptual/mobilehig/IconMatrix.html has size information.
Change 162638 had a related patch set uploaded by Glaisher: Add wikidatawiki to wgAppleTouchIcon and add wikidata.png to bits https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/162638
I just uploaded a 180 x 101 file. Is that an okay size?
It should be square and I think with the same background as the Wikipedia one. Transparent looks ugly.

Seems fixed (confirmed).
