Tried logging into beta labs from my iPhone and I get redirected to: www.en.m.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org which throws an internal server error: "Mobile domains are not served from this server IP address."
Reedy: can you take a look here? There's also https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70145 which is "Safari sets forceHTTPS=deleted incorrectly, causing login failure on Beta Cluster"
And https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70948 "Beta Cluster isn't redirecting en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org correctly" but I thought that one was "fixed" (at least for the example case given originally). Aude: Another redirect issue in Beta Cluster, what did you do to fix bug 70948?
Aude: Could you answer comment 2, please?
@andre I really don't know the setup for the mobile domains and probably can't look soon. Suggest to ask Jan Zerebecki (from our team)
the main page being broken was a different issue of wikibase being broken due to memcached issues and the main page connected to wikidata beta. I fixed that by deleting the relevant memcached key, and ultimately reverting/fixing wikibase.
Reedy: Another docroot issue? This and bug 70948, too.
Is not reproducible with Firefox mobile. So this is likely not a docroot issue. I don't have any Apple devices to test.
Hey Brion, Reedy suggested you taking a look into this one (Apple devices not redirecting to the mobile domain correctly), can you?
If I go to http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org on my iPad Air (iOS 8.1) I get redirected to http://en.m.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org and I see the mobile view successfully. If I go directly to http://www.en.m.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org then I get "mobile domains are not served from this server IP address", but I don't know where the "www." would have come from in the first place...
(In reply to Brion Vibber from comment #9) > If I go directly to http://www.en.m.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org then I get > "mobile domains are not served from this server IP address", but I don't > know where the "www." would have come from in the first place... People do this in production for some reason, and then wonder why various subdomains with www on them too give SSL errors (ie we're not gonna buy certs for www.commons.wikimedia.org Does this redirect work in production? If it doesn't, we shouldn't expect it here either... Did you try and login as per Kaldaris original report?
Logging in keeps me on en.m.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org; I cannot reproduce the bug except by manually typing in the wrong domain.
Kaldari: Can you still reproduce your issue here? What are the exact steps that Brion can try?
