The image attribution should link to the File: page instead of the absolute upload.wikimedia.org URL. This ensures that full license/attribution information can be found, even when not exposed through the CommonsMetadata API. It also gives access to additional information such as previous versions of the same file.

Note that some files are stored on commons.wikimedia.org and some are uploaded locally to a specific project, so the file page URL will vary accordingly.
