When changing a rank it is currently not saved. In the UI it shows fine until a reload. It is not recorded in the history. When changing the value in addition to the rank it is saved without issues.

Tried reproducing but just applying a badge to a site link without doing any other change works for me on current master.

OK, sorry, got confused. The issue still exists for ranks: UI does its job submitting "rank":"preferred" but back-end seems to not detect the change.
