The search does not return results when there is more than one corresponding item or when there is only one.

Version 1.20.x which is too old and not supported anymore. MediaWiki developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes by MediaWiki developers for the version that you use. See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Version_lifecycle

By upgrading to a newer version of MediaWiki you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Download
