demonstration from office-wiki

When typing at the end of a line of an item in a bulleted list some character are duplicated or appear on the wrong line, delete/backspace behaves erratically.

This sounds bad.
Comment 2 Jared Zimmerman (WMF) 2014-10-08 23:41:05 UTC
I certainly didn't get a warm feeling while it was happening.
Comment 3 Jared Zimmerman (WMF) 2014-10-08 23:41:51 UTC
I didn't test on multiple platforms but I'm on Chrome 38.0.2125.101 beta / OS X 10.9
Comment 4 Rummana Yasmeen 2014-10-09 00:26:23 UTC
yes just reproduced on mediawiki.org too on this page:https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:RYasmeen_(WMF)?veaction=edit

However, it does not happen in any other test wikis

This is the exact bug that https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/164514/ was designed to fix; Rachel F showed me the exact same thing the day before I wrote it. I don't think it ever got cherry-picked, but it should be on mediawiki.org some time later today as part of wmf3. We may need to cherry-pick it to wmf2.
