Hi, I would like to upload a bulky video file (approx 600 MB) on to Commons. This is an important interview with the author who recently donated 10 books under CC-BY-SA 4.0 and would really motivate many others too. Please note that I have done this interview recording myself. (e.g {{information|description=description for video|author=author here|...}} ). ---- It should be noted that you should be able to upload videos by normal means for sizes up to 1 GB, however some users have reported that the normal uploader is flaky on the bigger videos, so if you have trouble its perfectly ok to ask here (I believe)

When I tried uploading the file myself the site gives a message //This file is bigger than the server is configured to allow.// Could you let me know how could one get to upload files up to 1 GB on Commons? After the entire file is loaded there is no response from the server about the completion of the action. Could I request that this be uploaded from the server side? Thanks!
Hi, sorry we (or at least I) forgot about this bug. Do you mind if I try uploading with chunked uploads myself as a test? (but then would be under my username)
