Description Diego Queiroz 2014-10-15 23:04:47 UTC
Currently, Xtools is not accessible at all.

When I try to access https://tools.wmflabs.org/xtools I get an 504 error: Gateway Time-out from nginx/1.5.0.

I'm on a Wikibreak right now. Use https://tools.wmflabs.org/supercount for the edit counter. Also you'll get more attention if you reported the issue on https://github.com/x-Tools/xtools/issues
Comment 3 Diego Queiroz 2014-10-16 00:16:22 UTC
https://tools.wmflabs.org/supercount seems to not be working as well. In respect to your Wikibreak, is there someone else working on this tool?

I've contacted TParis (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3ATParis&diff=629778573&oldid=629770123) and he said this is due to an outage in the tool labs.

Open a bug GitHub using the link provided. It's monitored by me, TParis, and Hedonil, who also has access to the tool.

I'll note that if the maintainers are just looking at the github issues, the bugzilla component should probably be killed...
Comment 6 Diego Queiroz 2014-10-16 00:33:23 UTC
Done anyway: https://github.com/x-Tools/xtools/issues/48

To be honest, I'm not sure who added this component to begin with.

Cyberpower678: See https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66977 - feel free to discuss there to agree on one single place that bug reports should go to.

I assumed because other tools I was using at the time were not working that it was related and the common denominator was tools lab. However, perhaps it is something to do with xtools specifically and I'll take a closer look this evening.
Comment 10 Daniel Zahn 2014-10-17 00:24:34 UTC
fwiw, yesterday i also checked this and it seemed to me it was really just xtools at that time because other tools appeared to be working
Comment 11 TParis 2014-10-18 02:01:35 UTC
I have looked into this. The file executes successfully on the server so there is no reason it shouldn't operate on the web. However, I have no rights to the /public_html/ folder so I cannot do further testing.

Maybe the note "This repo is outdated. Please do not submit any pull requests. The new repo will be available soon." should be removed/update on GitHub then?
