Intention:
Add templates to articles

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Paste the following examples into a page on en.wiki

{{US patent|1730425}}
{{OCLC|912579}}

2. Open the page in VE
3. 

Actual Results:  
The US patent template shows the patent link as a redlink and the OCLC template shows the book link as a redlink.


Expected Results:  
Both links should be shown as external links

Reproducible: Always

I usually use monobooks, but vector also has this behaviour
