Description Aude 2014-10-29 08:29:29 UTC
the item https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q975291 has the date 28 February 256 Gregorian.

when used on German Wikipedia, the date is formatted as:

28. Februar 0256

the 0 padding on the year should be like that.

here is the value and the lua #invoke in the sandbox:

same issue there...

The padding is pointless and should not be done. But it doesn't hurt to have it. The zeros are just meaningless.

The formatting of this date is done by the Lua module on the German Wikipedia. This is maintained by the community and nothing we can fix.

Marking this as invalid fro two reasons: 1. It's not really a bug. If you want a year padded with zeros is a matter of taste and meaningless anyway. 2. Not Wikibase code.
