Created attachment 16998 [details] Example lightbox on it.wiki with PD file Long titles don't leave enough space for "view terms", which becomes practically useless. No idea what to think about it.
The display of the above-the-fold area of the metadata panel has been completely refactored (different location for "view terms", different truncation mechanism, different text used for title) so this bug doesn't apply any more. See current version on beta: http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/File:Storia_e_miracoli_di_San_Giovanni_Gualberto_ig00303500_Scan00007.tif#mediaviewer/File:Storia_e_miracoli_di_San_Giovanni_Gualberto_ig00303500_Scan00007.tif This looks sane down to 800x600 in English, and to 1024x768 in German (which has the longest translation ATM: https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special%3ATranslations&message=Multimediaviewer-permission-link&namespace=8 ). With today's monitor sizes, I think that's acceptable.
Indeed, looks fixed.
