The Apache on beta cluster instances fill up /var/log/apache2 rather quickly.

The local logging should be disabled entirely just like it used to be for the Zend PHP application server.  The local rsyslog is configured to relay the apaches logs to a central udplog instance which then make the log available to logstash.
