We request creation of a magic word that would prevent commons images from being included in a page. The convention at Wikipedia is to make local copies and protect images that appear on high traffic pages. This is necessary to prevent vandalism with NSFW images. However, people often forget. With such a magic word we can have much better protection against such vandalism. A secondary feature would prevent inclusion of unprotected images. A third feature would similarly restrict the images in a template that might be widely used. Perhaps all these can be accomplished simply, I hope. Thank you.
Thanks for taking the time to report this! Who is "we"? Which Wikipedia language version is this about? Any link to the on-wiki discussion about this (community consensus)? What are the exact steps to reproduce the current problem? How often does this problem actually appear? Also, please only file one issue per report. See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug for more information. Thanks!
We is David Levy and I, two admins who do a lot of work on the home page. (He's much better at images than I am.) See: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Jehochman&oldid=634690317 This enhancement would be a benefit to all Wikipedias, though I am not sure about the magnitude of the problem anywhere except on the English Wikipedia. If you think further discussion is needed, I can get something started, but it may help if you could suggest the easiest method of implementation, so I could propose it.
