Description Fyren 2007-02-02 03:35:54 UTC
When using the enhanced recentchanges, a group of changes has a change size of
the difference between the article size after the last edit in the group and the
size before the first in the group. When an article is moved and the redirect is
edited, the sum of each individual edit change size probably won't match the
group's change size.

I noticed this on one of my wikis when a talk page was moved twice during
discussion (once to archive and once to follow the main article's renaming). On
the enhanced RC view, the group of edits ended up showing -32k for the change
size for the group of edits while the sum of the individual changes was
something like +3.5k. Someone edited the redirect that was left over, so it
compared the pre-archival size to the slightly-edited redirect.

I'm not sure if this should be "fixed" by making a group's change size the sum
of its individual change sizes. Either way is sort of wrong since there's no
consideration for page moves.

The same bug appears when a robot edits a page between the first and the last change in a group. This is quite annoying, as it raises alarm flags when the robot changes are big (for instance when adding iw links for a new article).

The same thing occurs in the watched pages list, only there bots are enabled by default.
