Set up: Mediawiki 1.15.1 + (FCKEditor extension from trunk or with latest release download). Browsers tested: FireFox 3.5.5 (Mac, Windows, Linux), Safari 4.0.4 (Mac), IE 7 (Windows) Steps to reproduce 1) Upload an image--I found this easiest to see when using a rectangular image with clearly defined borders 2) Add the image to a page 3) Edit the page and increase the image dimensions to 3-4 times their original values using either the rich or default editor 4) Save the page to verify the image has been scaled appropriately 5) Edit the page and switch to the rich editor. Result: the image displays at it's original size in the editor Expected result: The image should display with appropriate scaling in the editor Notes: in the rich editor, "Image properties" still displays the new dimensions and will scale the image up if you hit okay on the image properties dialog. Also, since MediaWiki overrides non-aspect-ratio-preserving dimensions, the behavior can be difficult to see for small dimension changes. Bonus misbehavior: When editing with the rich editor, change the dimensions as above and then hit "Show preview". The preview will show the scaled version of the image in the preview while the editor will display the image at original size again.
