User:Alexbot https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Alexbot is a unauthorized bot on en.WS and known to make bad edits. The account was blocked indefinitely for these reasons on Nov 4 2007. An admin recently noticed that the account has some contributions on Sept 10 2010, when it should have been actively blocked. Since this is a bot account it could do a lot damage very quickly. Can someone confirm that the account is actually blocked and, if not, fix the problem?
I forgot to mention that the account involved is a member of Global Bot group. https://toolserver.org/~quentinv57/tools/sulinfo.php?username=Alexbot&showblocks=1&showlocked=1 However en.WS is not on either list of the projects that have opted in on the Global bot.
En.Wikisource is in the global bot wikiset (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:WikiSets/2) however that shouldn't override a local block.
Just to clarify what I was seeing: I had checked the WikiSets page but didn't see that there were two separate lists there. I went to first set e's and didn't see en.wikisource and thought that was it. (I don't really follow what the significance is between "Wikis" and "Wikis not included above" to keep them separate lists.) The second list I was referring to was: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Bot_policy/Implementation#Where_it_is_policy
https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Special:BlockList/Alexbot shows that it is blocked.
(In reply to comment #4) > https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Special:BlockList/Alexbot shows that it is > blocked. Yes it shows that it has been blocked since 2007 . . . and yet there are edits in 2010. This is why I filed a bug.
According to https://en.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=User%3AGeo_Swan%2FISN_149&diff=2563748&oldid=2563747 those edits were imported from another wiki, presumably one where the bot isn't blocked.
