On a Thread: page (not sure if that happens also in the discussion page): If you reply to a thread that has more than 5 nested messages, when you save the message, it disappears, and then a tiny notification at the top of the thread says that this thread has new messages. This is wrong, your own reply should be visible when posted. Specially since we're on a Thread: page which should display all messages. When clicking on that notification, it reloads the contents and then only the first 5 messages appear again, plus the link to display more messages, like if we were on a discussion page (wrong again). And the contents contain the thread header: title and links to history, rename, watch/unwatch... This is very confusing for new users. See [1]. This happens on www.mediawiki.org Maybe the api doesn't know if we're on a thread page or a discussion page. ---- [1] http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Thread:Project:Support_desk/Disable_edit_or_createpages_by_non-users
Added URL where it can be tested. Replying on the discussion page or on Special:Messages, makes my message to disappear (the edit form simply disappears when submit, the new message doesn't appear). I don't know if it may be related to bug 46388, most likely caused by the query reading from a slave server, so when it gets the contents of the thread the last message is missing from the slave
