Kannada layouts given in ULS don't have any method to enter Zero Width Joiner (ZWJ), U+200D. This is a special character needed as per Unicode PR-37 (http://www.unicode.org/review/pr-37.pdf). Please make it available for all Kannada input layouts in ULS
This ZWJ is needed for other Indian languages also. Please make it available in ULS for all Indian languages.
In Microsoft Windows, the built-in IME in Inscript layout, pressing Ctrl-Shit-1 is the method for entering in ZWJ. You may also do so in the Inscript layouts. In other layouts, there is defined standard.

The ZWJ and ZWNJ are mapped to ( and ) keys respectively for the Inscript layout in ULS and on AltGr+1 and AltGr+2 on Enhanced Inscript (i.e. Inscript2). Hope this helps.
Ok. It is working. Thanks a lot. Is ZWJ available in KGP/Nudi/KP Rao layout as well? I use that all the time.
In KGP: ZWJ is on F and ZWNJ on FF In Transliteration: ZWJ is on x and ZWNJ on X As other users may also face similar difficulties in locating these characters, I would suggest adding this information the IME help pages[1] along with any other information that you may consider useful. Thanks. [1] https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Extension:UniversalLanguageSelector/Input_methods#Kannada
