In reference to [[ticket:2014110310000241]], Habib University requests the removal of the Account Creation limits for the following IP ranges: - 110.93.200.136/30 - 110.93.200.92/30 - 110.93.203.176/29 - 110.93.199.64/28 - 103.4.92.120/29 - 103.4.92.176/28 - 210.2.138.144//29 - 202.61.42.80/29 No time range specified. I am notifying the user of this bug.
That's quite a few IP addresses. What projects? Having read the ticket, it would seem they should be ok to specify a rough deadline for this exemption. Presumably at most a couple of weeks would be good if they encourage their students to sign up ASAP... Of course, the other option is to give someone at their end account creator rights
not a crazy number of IPa but it is a lot of blocks. (its essentially a /26 + a /29) I think we've done a /24 before? I haven't read the ticket yet.
Response from the user: Currently, the university has 113 students. They would ask for the window to be re-opened at the beginning of each academic year to allow their new students to create accounts. Note from me: I have informed the user about the Account Creator user right, also; the account creation tool may be an option.
User is opting for the Account Creation userright.
