When calling convert.exe under win32, the argument holding the path to the image contains both forward (/) and backward (\) slashes. The forward(/) slashes should be replaced by backward (\) ones.
Data from email: >> convert.exe: unable to open image >> `'c:\easyphp\www\mediawiki/images/e/e1/BenR.jpg'': Invalid argument.
Was this the slashes, or the single-quotes? Can you confirm with current version?
I'm sorry, but I can't remember the issue very precise. I do remember someone telling me that DOS is very picky about the syntax of arguments, and I also do remember that I eventually solved the problem. The Wiki I build is operational for almost a year now, but I'm no longer the one maintaining it.
Recent use of ImageMagick convert to create thumbnails under Windows works for me; trunk and 1.6 function fine, at least.
