This url http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Some_red_link&action=edit has this title <title>Editing Some red link - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia</title> ---- But in the category namespace http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Some_red_link&action=edit the title is this <title>Editing Category:Some red link - Preview - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia</title> but I clearly did not hit the "preview" button ---- i tested this elsewhere but it only seems to happen in the category namespace. what gives? incidentally shouldn't all of these say something to the effect of "creating new page" rather than "editing" or "preview"? CW
Hmm. It looks like when you edit a nonexistent category, it pops up a "preview" because the preview feature on a category page also displays the contents of that category. I think the idea is that usually if someone clicks a redlinked category, one or a few items will be in there already, so you're getting a "preview" of what the category will contain once it's a blue link.
This no more happen on live site. It was fixed at some point :-)
