For example I want to find occurrences of "Turgis" (with "s") without the occurrences of "Turgi" (without "s") on Wikimedia Commons: I type "+Turgis" in the search box : http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Search&search=%2Bturgis%20&fulltext=Search&ns0=1&ns6=1&ns12=1&ns14=1&ns100=1&ns106=1&redirs=1 but "Turgi" without "s" results are showing up. Compare with http://www.google.com/#q=site:commons.wikimedia.org+%2Bturgis Lemmatisation is annoying when you are looking for an exact term.
Try "turgis", i.e. in double quotes. http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&redirs=1&search=%22turgis%22&fulltext=Search&ns0=1&ns6=1&ns12=1&ns14=1&ns100=1&ns106=1
Thanks. That will be a great help for my future searches. By the way, is there an instruction manual somewhere, which I could have referred to, instead of posting on Bugzilla ? [[:en:Help:Searching]] seems to ignore this feature.
I edited the help page as follows : http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Help%3ASearching&action=historysubmit&diff=442525146&oldid=441040491
Thanks, to my knowledge that is the most complete help page.
