The "Change Version" buttons are located at the far bottom of the screens. It is uneasy to reach them because the pages are very long due to the very big characters. Please display these button at the LEFT TOP of the screens, so they will be more easy to click.
Out of date
Ah actually I misunderstood I think what is being asked for here is to move the 'mobile view' link from the footer to somewhere closer to the top of the page so that user's on a mobile can easily switch to mobile without having to resort to lots of scrolling on large articles
This could potentially be in the new nav. Putting it at the top of all articles would be bad as most mobile users will have to scroll past it to get to content.
To be clear this refers to the "Mobile view" link on the __desktop site__ which is currently buried in the footer. If a mobile user is on the desktop it should be easy to flick back to mobile - which currently is very tricky. On obscure devices which do not redirect to mobile there is nothing worse than having to scroll through an entire desktop article to get to the link.
It seems the original request was indeed to put a 'desktop view' link at the top of the mobile site. I'm closing this due to the fact that mobile is currently broken on the reporting users phone and this was the main motivation for this feature request. There also seems to be an issue in that when clicking the desktop link the user is not redirected to desktop on subsequent visits. This is probably due to the javascript that sets the cookie not running. This should be fixed and deployed some time tomorrow. I don't think we want a link at the top of the page as this will not be useful for the majority of our users who are perfectly happy with the mobile site.
