User intention: Search for already existing entries in Wikipedia's technical forum Steps to repeat: Open page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump Click on any "search" link, e.g. the one under "Technical" Expected behavior: Show result list (obviously provided by Google) Actual behavior: Google throws an error message telling me: "We're sorry... ... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now." I once read that this could happen with Google, so the source of the bug most likely is not related to Wikipedia. Still, this is a crucial function when using the forums, and should work. I'm running a private network with a well configured WLAN and computers configured to defend malware as best as possible. It's quite unlikely that my network is the actual reason for Google's error message. I hope this is the right place to post this error message. I just wanted to post this bug report while using Wikipedia, without getting too much involved into the Mediawiki architecture - please excuse my impatience. Thanks
The url google search service is called with: http://www.google.com/custom?domains=en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_(technical)&sitesearch=en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_(technical)
This is an issue in en.wikipedia's templates. Please address on en.wikipedia (in the VPT for example!)
Sorry for bugging you, I just followed what was written on the page in question: "The technical section of the village pump is used to discuss technical issues about Wikipedia. Bugs and feature requests should be made at BugZilla." Thanks again.
