Creating category talk pages doesn't add them to the watchlist, this even with the following setting activated: *Add pages I create to my watchlist This happens at Commons, possibly elsewhere.
Works for me: * check Special:Preferences to confirm 'Add pages I create to my watchlist' is checked under Watchlist tab * go to nonexisting page 'Category talk:Test test test fake' * hit edit * type "testing bug" * confirm that "Watch this page" checkbox is checked in the edit form * save * go to Special:Watchlist * confirm that 'Category talk:Test test test fake' appears If you follow these steps with a new test page, what happens for you?
It doesn't work for me. I tried: *[[Commons:Category talk:Test test test fake]] and *[[Commons:Talk:Test test test fake]] At least in Vector skin, for category talk, the star isn't blue by default, but in namespace 1 it is.
It seems to happen with category namespace as well.
(In reply to comment #3) > It seems to happen with category namespace as well. Depending on your preferences, pages of which you are the last editor may not appear in the watchlist timeline. Do you see it listed on Special:EditWatchlist ?
