bowiki looks ugly... please fix.
GPL font is available from http://www.tibetebook.com/nyer_mkho/demig/HimalayaFonts.rar -- the Himalaya-G.TTF font in that bundle works.
The font is very big in size. Around 4.5MB in TTF format and some 800KB when converted to WOFF. We were in discussion with the maintainers of the font(Tibetan Himalayan Library) two months back. The font is having lot of glyphs in Private use/Corporate use area of unicode. The glyphs are mapped to unicode point in Corporate area, and at the same time has GSUB table entries to those glyphs. The maintainers had connected us to designer of the font, but we did not get any updates. I think the size can be reduced if we remove unused corporate area glyphs(there are many such glyphs ike brandnames as a single glyph), and simplify the drawings of other glyphs. The font 'works', but as a webfont, its size is a concern. The same problems exist for Jomolhari font for bzwiki. May be we need to ping the maintainers again, or we should see if we can reduce the font size by ourself.
Jomolhari font is present in WebFonts extension for language bo. It is 2.5 MB in uncompressed form and WOFF is 829 KB. It is available in translatewiki, net - http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Main_Page?setlang=bo Before deploying, we need somebody from bo.wikipedia to verify it.
(In reply to comment #3) > Before deploying, we need somebody from bo.wikipedia to verify it. How to outreach to the bo/Tibetan community? Asking on http://bo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Community_portal ? Note that http://bo.wikipedia.org/ front page already recommends (in Tibetan) to install some fonts.
Jomolhari is available in ULS
