Created attachment 10678 [details] Original 458 x 153 JPEG image For a file uploaded as https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:%C5%81RST_logo_kolor_new.jpg both thumbnails (120 px wide) and rescaled (300px) versions seem to be truncated (the image has a desired size but right side of the image is blank).

I would guess that maybe its a colour profile issue. Perhaps when the thumb has the different colour profile, the grey becomes too light to see. (So either something similar to bug 24854, or perhaps image magick is doing the correct thing, and my browser is doing the wrong thing and the image is relying on the browser to do the wrong thing, or something else related to colour profiles) I purged/tried different resolutions, so its not some intermitent issue, the thumb is being verifiably rendered this way every time
