When I moved the a JS page on ptwiki, https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Log?type=move&page=MediaWiki%3ACommon.js%2Fsecure.js the software prevented the creation of a redirect (since it wouldn't work anyway). I don't have the "suppressredirect" user right there. On Wikibooks, where I'm a sysop, if I move a JS page the software shows the checkbox "Leave a redirect behind", even if it won't create the redirect: https://pt.wikibooks.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Test.js?uselang=en This checkbox should be removed.
This isn't really an enhancement, most a minor bug. [ Bug severity: enh -> minor. Priority: normal. Target: 1.21. ]
Created attachment 11543 [details] Red link === no redirect created Besides, after the page was moved, MediaWiki displayed the message "A redirect has been created.", which is wrong.
