Hello, please add "OTRS-member" user group on fa.wikipedia with the 'autoconfirmed' right per community consensus (see URL). Bureaucrats should be able to add/remove this group. Thank you.
What's the point of this?
Exactly like commons, but on fa.wiki.
Members of this group can access to some local things like e-mail of 'Contact page'.
(In reply to comment #3) > What's the point of this? See [[commons:Special:ListGroupRights#OTRS-member]] for an example of where this has been done before. Having said that, I don't see the point either. Surely a category, or manually-maintained list of users, is enough?
Yes, It is only for formalization.
Let me call bureaucrat of fa wiki.
As a bureaucrat of Persian Wikipedia and a member of en and fa OTRS system. I need to say why community of fa.wp thinks they need an extra user-group. There is no usual way to find out who is member of OTRS of info-fa and and who is not unless you're a member of OTRS too, this group will disclose list of these people by their username identity in Wikipedia because identity of people in OTRS and WMF project are usually different, so someone who is member of OTRS can't say this name belongs to this user and vice versa and someone in the Wiki has no way to find out who is in the OTRS and who is not and list which usually maintains by hand is good but not good enough because except a member no one knows who is in the OTRS and who is not and being a member is not enough to get the username Best
Is there any problem?
(In reply to comment #9) > Is there any problem? Yes, people don't seem to understand why you need this user group. If the only reason to have it is to be able to list people with access to OTRS, then I suggest to manually create such a list on your wiki, or use the category system. Otherwise, if you want to do something else (ie. exempt OTRS agents from some abuse filters), please state so. And now that I had a look at your config in InitialiseSettings.php, I notice you have an 'autopatrolled' group already, so I really can't see the point of having yet another user group with the same exact rights.
'autoconfirmed' not 'autopatrolled' right. It is only a symbolic right, you can ignore it.
(In reply to comment #11) > 'autoconfirmed' not 'autopatrolled' right. It is only a symbolic right, you > can > ignore it. Yes, sorry. Should we close this bug, then?
No problem! Let me talk to bureaucrat of fa wiki. Thank you.
Closing this bug since there hasn't been any movement on it for the past three weeks. Please feel free to reopen if there are any reasons you'd like to use the group for except to create a list of OTRS agents per comment 10.
