Wrong messages are deployd for this five messages [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Vector-view-viewsource/sr] [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Linksearch-text/sr] [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Linksearch/sr] [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Uctop/sr] [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Postedit-confirmation/sr] [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Newuserlogpage/sr] I cannot change over translatewiki because every message on translatewiki that is saved in sr code (for serbian default is sr-ec) has a update problem which means once it is deployed it can be changed only by developer on gerrit. Correct messages are in sr-ec code.
Hi, not sure if I understand the problem. https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Vector-view-viewsource/sr redirects to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Vector-view-viewsource/sr-ec , and https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Vector-view-viewsource/sr-ec displays the same string ("Изворни код") that https://translatewiki.net/wiki/MediaWiki:Vector-view-viewsource/sr-ec?action=edit displays. What are steps to reproduce / see the problem?
Problem is it should be the same as sr-ec but it isnt, every one how choses serbian it will show REDIRECTMediaWiki:Vector-view-viewsource/sr-ec not Изворни код (View source).

So you expect https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Vector-view-viewsource/sr to display https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Vector-view-viewsource/sr-ec instead of the REDIRECT information? I see... So this bug report is entirely about how things are displayed on meta.wikimedia.org and not about the displaying of these translated strings somewhere in the real user interface?
No, it is affected on every mediawiki user interface where serbian language is selected, i used meta wiki as example
Summary of bug: *First off for context, serbian translations (sr) usually use the fallback language code sr-ec (Serbian in cyrillic), since there are two ways to write serbian (syrillic and latin) For some reason localization changes at translatewiki made way back in Feb 26 (https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=MediaWiki%3AVector-view-viewsource%2Fsr&diff=5344676&oldid=5087107) is not being imported into languages/i18n/sr.json, nor is it being updated by localisationUpdate on WMF wikis. (IF I was to guess, maybe the language was disabled due to translations going in sr-ec?)
(In reply to Bawolff (Brian Wolff) from comment #5) > (IF I was to guess, maybe the language was disabled due to > translations going in sr-ec?) Correct. See https://git.wikimedia.org/blob/translatewiki.git/HEAD/bin%2Frepoexport#L18 for details.

If sr is disabled why is still deploying from time to time?
I suggest removing sr.json from MediaWiki core. It should not have been added in the first place.
