Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a message group (in the TUX interface), e.g. [1] 2. Click on the selector to change the translation state from "State: Proofreading" to "Published" Result: The update does happen (and in this case, the automatic edits to the "MediaWiki:Centralnotice-" pages are carried out), but the selector on the message group page only displays "Setting...". I.e. the translation administrator is left in the dark on whether the update has actually happened, unless they check the status by other means. The old, non-TUX interface (e.g. [2]) does not have this problem - after clicking "Set" there, the update happens and the selector shows the new status. Note: some problems probably surface now, which didn't earlier, because loading times for certain actions increased again after the recent peak of new translatable pages (cf. e.g. old bug 63360, bug 54672).
Most of the cases the state change does go through, but indeed this is very annoying. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 62957 ***
